Podcast Transcript

Preston Thomas is an author, educator, and teacher. He holds BA and MA degrees in Philosophy from the University of Virginia. As an undergraduate Preston played varsity tennis and he was an NDEA scholar in graduate school. Preston has been a serious and devoted student of philosophy and religion for over 50 years. In this time, he has written and presented numerous papers on both philosophy and religion.

In 1981 Preston founded a small private school, with the goal of helping students with special learning needs, such as dyslexia, and served as its director for 27 years. In 1992 Preston published The Life and Teachings of Jesus in an effort to produce a book that would provide graduating students with a trustworthy guide for living. Now in its third edition, this book collects all the Bible verses dealing with Jesus and presents them in their natural chronological order. This book has received widespread critical acclaim and presently serves as a trusted guidebook for many. Preston has two grown sons, and lives with his wife in rural Virginia. They recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

Early in his life Preston settled on the belief that Jesus is our greatest teacher, and that his teachings should be studied and recognized as supreme above all others. He is dedicated to inspiring a new and more exclusive focus on the actual teachings of Jesus, especially his original gospel of the kingdom. This is the “good news” that God is our loving heavenly Father, and we are all sons and daughters of God.
